Tyler Bray – The Man Who Does It All

Master Power Transmission would like to spotlight our very own, Tyler Bray, the man who does it all!

Tyler is currently working full time as a Quality Engineer at MPT, going to college, and raising a family. Tyler has been married to his wife, Mickey, for 9 years and they have three boys. Their boys love to play video games, but also love playing sports, such as soccer and basketball. Tyler’s most rewarding part of raising his family is seeing his boys grow, mature, experience life, and become good people. When asked, “What made you want to start a family?”, Tyler said that his family has always had a big thing with carrying the family name down the line, so much so that his great grandparents had 16 kids! Tyler has always wanted at least 1. Tyler says the most challenging part about raising a family is making sure to properly balance time between family, work, and school and to make sure that each section is properly taken care of.

2022 is Tyler’s 10th year at Master Power Transmission. He states that he has “pretty much grown up here”. Tyler started out in kitting for a couple of months, then moved to assembly for a couple of years, and then moved between several machining cells off and on, helping out for about 5 years. Tyler has been a Quality Engineer since 2018 and is now in school to get more experience in management to play a larger role and gain more responsibility in the company.

Tyler went back to school to finish his associates in Business and HR, and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Business. When asked how he balances school, work, and family, Tyler said “Take it one day at a time, if you think too far ahead it can get crazy, but always remember that family comes first, and the rest will follow.”. His biggest motivator throughout this process is being able to provide a good life for his family. A piece of advice that he would give someone wanting to pursue a college degree while working full time is, “Anyone can do it; you just have to have the want to.”. After graduating, Tyler is most looking forward to not having to do homework all the time! Tyler stated that “I’m grateful to have been able to have the opportunities that I have been given with the company and to grow, develop, and learn.”.

Tyler – on behalf of the Master Power Transmission team, we are so proud to have you as a member of our organization. You are not only setting an incredible example for your sons, but also for your coworkers at MPT as you embody the spirit of an everyday hero. Thank you for proving that it is never too late to continue your education, and that it is possible to do so while working full-time and raising a family. It has been a privilege to watch you grow these past 10 years and we cannot wait to see all that you accomplish in the future!
